The MCH Group launches a new hybrid platform for the watch, jewellery and gemstone industries «HOURUNIVERSE», which embraces the community approach.
The MCH Group has, over the last few weeks, engaged in intensive and constructive discussions with exhibitors, visitors and representatives of the watch and jewellery community. The focus was on evaluating the needs and opportunities for a new format, a new platform that unites the community. Based on the valuable feedback and current challenges facing the industry, we have created a new platform concept, which we would like to present to you.
The Community is at the heart of HOURUNIVERSE
The new platform named HOURUNIVERSE is a B2B2C meeting point that places the customers of the brands and exhibitors at the heart of its focus, reversing the order of the past. The entire platform is conceived and designed around them. This applies to all players of the distribution chain, traditional and online retailers, including those of the CPO (certified Pre-Owned). Flanking them, the platform will build an extended ecosystem with watches, jewellery and gemstones brands, developers of new distribution solutions, marketing and points of sale, and other players of the industry. A global, varied, interconnected world. The format is also dedicated to contemporary topics such as smart / connected products, sustainability and circular business models and enables a continuous exchange with end consumers.
A 365 platform, with an annual Live event in Basel
HOURUNIVERSE is designed as a hybrid platform with a year-round, modern digital offer for the watch and jewellery community, which also maintains a lively exchange independent of physical encounters.
A contemporary, inclusive live event in Basel is the physical meeting place for the community, with the aim of facilitating efficient networking and providing an all-round successful experience based on the requirements of exhibitors and visitors. In addition to this customer-focused approach, a new hospitality concept based on fair prices and supported by the local hotel industry will be an integral part of HOURUNIVERSE.
In April 2021, the community will meet in Basel, Switzerland. The exact date of the show will be aligned with Watches & Wonders in Geneva.
We will sharpen the format in constant exchange with the industry and announce further details over the summer.
